SCOPE OF JOB

Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches. Installs and repair both high and low-pressure pipe systems piping, fixtures related to the water and gas systems. Repairs and test valves and safety relief valves using test benches.

MAIN TASKS

1) Analyzes assembly blueprint and specifications manual and execute overhauling of various types of valves. 2) Verifies conformance of spare parts with respect to stock list and blueprints, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers. 3) Knowledgeable and skilled to overhaul the anti-cavitation type control valves, PCVs, de-superheaters (angle valves to spray water in steam systems) etc. 4) Knowledgeable and skilled to overhaul all type of mechanical valves like ball, gate, globe, plug, butterfly, check valve etc. 5) Experience to operate Ventil test bench to test pressure relief valves, pressure safety valve, breather valves, air relief valves, tank hatches etc. 6) Knowledgeable to prepare for hydro static testing of various spools, heat exchangers and other systems in order to prove its integrity as per client procedures and specifications. 7) Experience to find the ratings of test blinds, safe ratings of hoses, whip checks, pressure gauges, adaptors, connectors etc. 8) Knowledgeable on lapping techniques and able to use lapping machines to lap faces of valve seats, laps, discs etc. 9) Familiar with inspection requirements of calibration, testing of PSVs and other type of mechanical and control valves. 10) Able to do the basic preventive maintenance of test benches, hydro static test pumps etc. 11) Familiar with the permit to work (PTW) system in a gas process plant. And shall able to pass the client PTW training in the responsibility of Performing Authority. 12) Knowledgeable and skilled to operate portable pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic and manual torquing tools in order to blind and de-blind the valves, spools, equipment etc.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Completion of secondary education (over all 12 years education) -At least 2 years of experience in operating the Ventil test bench. -Familiar with all hazards and safety precautions of the various hydro static testing operations. -Eight (8) years' experience in a gas plant, refinery, or petrochemical industry as a bench fitter. -Speaks and understand English language fluently. -Shall be at least 30 years of age and physically fit
