Workshop Manager – Switchgear Assembly
Job Description
In-depth knowledge of LV distribution boards, motor control centres (MCCs), protection relays, and busbar systems
Familiarity with international and local standards including IEC 61439, ISO, and relevant UAE regulations
Capable of leading a team of technicians, fabricators, and QA/QC inspectors in a factory environment
Oversees daily production planning, material control, and assembly line supervision
Coordinates with the engineering team for design reviews, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
Responsible for implementing quality control procedures, electrical testing, and final inspection before dispatch
Ensures compliance with project-specific technical specs for panels used in MEP projects, ATEX applications,
Hands-on experience with tools, busbar fabrication, crimping, and termination processes
Knowledge of safety standards, HSE protocols, and preventive maintenance of workshop equipment
Proficient in MS Office, basic AutoCAD, and ERP systems (Odoo preferred) for tracking BOMs and job orders
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
Coordinates with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished panels
Supports in technical documentation, labelling, and packaging as per client or project requirements.
