Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated

Automotive Workshop Controller

to lead and coordinate the daily operations of our vehicle service workshop. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality repairs, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automotive repair and a proven ability to manage a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Allocate repair and service jobs to technicians based on skill level and job complexity. Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion of all work in line with manufacturer standards. Conduct quality control checks and road tests to verify repair accuracy and safety. Liaise with service advisors to provide accurate job status updates and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain workshop productivity and efficiency targets. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Manage workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and ensure proper maintenance. Support technician development through mentoring and identifying training needs. Handle escalated technical issues and assist with complex diagnostics when needed. Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts usage, and technician hours.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong technical knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostics. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and workshop software. Relevant automotive qualifications
