Conduct predictive and on-site RF surveys using Ekahau or similar tools.
Develop HLDs and LLDs for Cisco Catalyst and Meraki wireless deployments.
Produce wireless design documents including heatmaps, prediction reports, diagrams, configuration sets, and installation records.
Install and configure Cisco/Meraki APs, WLCs, routers, switches, and supporting wireless components.
Configure advanced wireless features such as RRM, seamless roaming, QoS, segmentation, and band steering.
Deploy and manage wireless monitoring and analytics tools.
Integrate wireless networks with existing wired infrastructure in coordination with network engineering teams.
Configure and utilize DNAC for wireless provisioning, template-based automation, and policy-driven deployments.
Leverage DNAC Assurance for health monitoring, client and device analytics, RF quality analysis, and proactive issue detection.
Use DNAC tools (Path Trace, Client 360, Device 360, AI-Driven Insights) to troubleshoot complex wireless issues.
Implement DNAC features including SWIM for software image management.
Integrate DNAC with Cisco ISE for policy automation, profiling, and network-wide security enforcement.
Provide continuous improvement recommendations based on DNAC insights.
Monitor wireless performance and optimize RF parameters for best-in-class user experience.
Analyze interference, channel utilization, roaming behavior, and capacity trends.
Perform advanced tuning at both the controller and RF levels to resolve performance issues.
Serve as a senior escalation point for complex wireless challenges.
Diagnose RF issues, authentication failures, roaming problems, and interference scenarios.
Document troubleshooting steps, root-cause analysis, and best practices.
Coordinate with Cisco TAC for high-severity case handling.
Implement and enforce wireless security standards including WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, and encryption protocols.
Integrate wireless solutions with Cisco ISE for authentication, guest access, profiling, and policy management.
Recommend firmware upgrades, patching schedules, and hardware refresh plans.
Develop configuration documents, test plans, as-built reports, and SOPs.
Provide wireless assurance summaries, optimization recommendations, and project status updates.
Work closely with customer teams, project managers, and technical stakeholders.
Conduct training sessions, knowledge-transfer workshops, and technical enablement activities.
Participate in pre-sales engagements and solution-design discussions when required.
Requirements
10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise wireless networking.
Strong expertise with Cisco Catalyst, AireOS, Meraki, ISE and Ekahau wireless platforms.
Deep understanding of RF fundamentals, 802.11 standards, client behavior, and WLAN architecture.
Extensive experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC) for provisioning, policy automation, Assurance, SWIM, telemetry analytics, and troubleshooting workflows.
Strong troubleshooting background using packet captures, overlays, logs, and spectrum analysis.
Experience integrating wireless networks with Cisco ISE (802.1X, profiling, guest access, posture enforcement).
