The Senior Manager of Operations Support is responsible to plan, organize, direct and control the operations of the service lines operating in the country, identifying problems and potential risks, and ensuring compliance with corporate and external customer procedures. This role will define operating strategies, maintaining communication with all the departments and coordinating the availability and logistics of the personnel and equipment. Essential functions
  • Supervise the activities of the operation including the coordinators and Specialists
  • Monitor the performance of the work performed
  • Analyze customer satisfaction levels
  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, verifying compliance with QHSE policies
  • Analyze the use of equipment and machinery and verify the competencies of the personnel, in order to ensure the proper performance of the operation, as well as compliance with corporate plans and annual budgets.
  • Control the activities of the support areas corresponding to Operations, analyzing inventory levels, fixed assets and supervising their proper use and maintenance, as well as logistics and billing activities, in order to guarantee compliance with procedures and policies of the company.
  • Responsible for the annual performance evaluation process of his team.
  • Maintain communication with customers, organizational line and stakeholders, identifying the needs of the operation and new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for the general financial management of operations including their profitability in the market.
  • Plan and implement strategies related to cost control and optimization of resources for the development of operations.
  • Reach the financial goals established by the organization.
  • Responsible for promoting a visible commitment to compliance with company policies and the integrated management system
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities
  • Must possess a High School diploma plus, higher education in engineering (Petroleum engineer, Mechanical Engineer or related engineering.)
  • Must posses a minimun of 8 years in a management position plus, supervision experience in drilling rig construction or modification projects
  • Must possess the ability to use MS Office including Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Outlook e-mail, and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of electrical discipline in that pertains to the construction and operation of drilling rigs.
  • Working knowledge of the electrical code requirements pertaining to the design, construction and operation of land drilling rigs.
  • Working knowledge of API
  • Working knowledge of structures and design
  • Experienced in electronically controlled engines.
  • Experienced in Conventional Generator control devices and control.
  • Experienced in reading and understanding electrical and electronic schematic diagrams.
  • Experienced in the use of and possess an understanding of electrical and electronic test equipment and their functions.
  • Experienced in maintenance and preservation of inactive equipment (assisting local warehouse with preservation materials purchases).
  • Experienced in troubleshooting relay control logic.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting motor control systems.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with personnel at all skill levels.
  • Being multi-lingual is preferred.

Physical demands and work environment
