The Manager Operations Support coordinates and directs various and multiple activities of the modifications, fabrications, transport plans, rig stack out, start-up operations. In addition, the evaluation and necessary repair of all rig/camp equipment, electrical upgrades and or repair projects. Essential functions

- Organizes equipment, material and personnel for various aspects of the operation.
- Work with Engineers in the designing of drilling rigs.
- Supervise lifting equipment operations
- Create Daily Reports and Scope of Works
- Assist area maintenance managers with rig electrical equipment, (maintenance, overhaul and operational issues).
- Develop material lists of electrical items that are required for electrical upgrade or repair for rig replacements, upgrades and special drilling operations.
- Responsible for keeping track of the project\xe2\x80\x99s progression from start to finish and reporting on a weekly basis the percentage complete.
- Investigate electrical equipment failures.
- Witness acceptance tests for new and refurbished electrical equipment.
- Assist with specific maintenance questions/problems, primarily electrical; give advice or acquire information from the manufacturers to help solve rig site problems.
- Understand and work with relevant regulatory and inspection agencies, including API and Lloyds Register; apply the NEC to rig operations.
- Tests circuit connections using electrical test equipment.
- Install tests and maintains electrical equipment such as air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment. Installs and repairs lighting systems when required.
- Repairs electrical equipment such as panel lighting, circuit breakers, junction boxes, voltage regulators and reverse current relays.
- Build and install electrical distribution panels for motor starting and operations.
- Build, install and maintain alarm system.
- Install, calibrate and maintain gas detection equipment.
- Ensure an adequate amount of spare parts is on hand at all times. Submit requisitions to Toolpusher / Purchasing Manager for approval.
- Install and maintain electrical wiring and equipment
- Camp accommodation and kitchen evaluation, maintenance and repair. Including generators, potable water system, sewage system, and refrigerator/freezers.
- Download and Upload PLC programs.
- Troubleshoot control logics with PLCs based control.
- Read and analyze PLC Control Logics.
- Supervises electrical personnel working on the project.
- Supervise and guide electrical personnel during rig ups.
- Train and assist electrical personnel with all rig electrical systems.
- Abide by Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary qualifications, skills and abilities:

- 15 years of progressive experience in electrical and electronic disciplines in drilling or oil field services, with at least 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in fabrication, construction and rig up of drilling rigs.
- Supervision experience in drilling rig construction or modification projects
- Must possess a High School diploma.
- Must possess the ability to use MS Office including Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Outlook e-mail, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of electrical discipline in that pertains to the construction and operation of drilling rigs.
- Working knowledge of the electrical code requirements pertaining to the design, construction and operation of land drilling rigs.
- Working knowledge of API
- Working knowledge of structures and design
- Be able to work with Engineering have a vast knowledge of drawings and be able in the designing of Drilling Rigs.
- Have a good knowledge of lifting equipment and be able to supervise lifting operations
- Experienced in electronically controlled engines.
- Experienced in Conventional Generator control devices and control.
- Experienced in reading and understanding electrical and electronic schematic diagrams.
- Experienced in the use of and possess an understanding of electrical and electronic test equipment and their functions.
- Experienced in maintenance and preservation of inactive equipment (assisting local warehouse with preservation materials purchases).
- Experienced in troubleshooting relay control logic.
- Experienced in troubleshooting motor control systems.
- Must be knowledgeable of lockout / tag out procedures and maintain a willingness to comply with them.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with personnel at all skill levels.
- Ability to speak read and write English is required; Being multi-lingual is preferred.
