Design, implement, and supervise recreational and leisure programs, including sports, fitness, arts, cultural, and social activities.
Assess facility needs and adapt programs to meet the community's interests and requirements.
Coordinate seasonal events, tournaments, and special activities.
Staff Supervision & Training
Train, schedule, and evaluate recreation staff to ensure optimal performance.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to staff members, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Operations & Administration
Oversee the daily operations of recreation facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Prepare and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and generate financial reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk management standards to maintain a safe environment for staff and participants.
Customer & Community Engagement
Build and maintain positive relationships with program participants and the broader community.
Address participant concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Facility & Equipment Management
Monitor the usage of recreation facilities, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance.
Recommend improvements to facilities, resources, and programming to enhance service delivery and participant satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Physical Education, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in recreation, hospitality, or leisure services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and safety regulations.
