A Welding Supervisor with a strong marine background is needed to oversee welding operations on marine vessels and structures. This role involves leading a team of welders, ensuring quality and safety, and managing resources to meet project requirements within a marine environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate welding activities on marine vessels and structures, ensuring compliance with welding procedures, codes, and standards.
Enforce safety regulations and protocols specific to the marine environment.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of welding work to ensure quality and compliance.
Manage a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and support.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of welding equipment and materials.
Collaborate with engineers and other project personnel to address technical issues and ensure project success.
Maintain accurate records of welding activities, quality control, and personnel training.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welding Supervisor in a marine or shipbuilding environment.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Experience with marine-specific welding standards and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
