About the role As the Way Maintainer, you are integral to the success of V/Line's Asset Management - Maintenance Group. You will support the local track gang to carry out every day preventative maintenance and respond to network incidents and failures from Traralgon - Bairnsdale. Key Accountabilities include: · This position is a Monday - Friday day position with fortnightly EDO's. The occasional travel to other regions, working away and overtime will be as required. · Assist with the renewal and/or maintenance tasks related to V/Lines rail infrastructure. · As directed, participate in the replacement and/or renewal of track and crossing materials i.e., sleepers, rail, ballast, and fastenings. · Use and maintain minor mechanical equipment. · Clean up plant equipment and worksite and participate in general site maintenance. · Ensure all work is performed in accordance with appropriate OH&S standards and regulations.

About you This track focused, hands-on role will be suitable for an individual wanting to start their career on track in the rail industry.
