Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Watch Repair Technician

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of timepieces, including mechanical, quartz, and automatic watches. This role requires precision, steady hands, and a thorough understanding of watch movements and components.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, quartz, and automatic watches. Disassemble and reassemble movements with accuracy and care. Perform battery replacements, pressure testing, and water-resistance checks. Clean and lubricate watch movements and cases. Replace and adjust watch parts including crystals, stems, crowns, gaskets, and bands. Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used. Communicate effectively with customers or front-of-house staff about repair timelines and issues. Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workbench.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required); watchmaking school certification (e.g., WOSTEP, SAWTA, or AWCI) preferred. Minimum of [2+] years of experience in watch repair or horology. Proficient in repairing a variety of watch brands and models. Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with luxury watch brands (e.g., Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer). Knowledge of both modern and vintage timepieces. Familiarity with watchmaking tools and diagnostic equipment. Customer service experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and work with small components for extended periods. Good vision (corrected or uncorrected) for close-up work.
