Job Overview:

We are hiring an experienced and proactive

Waste Management Manager

to oversee the entire waste management cycle, including waste collection, segregation, transportation, and disposal The ideal candidate will be well-versed in environmental compliance and efficient waste logistics, and capable of managing both operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations for waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities across sites. Supervise and schedule collection teams, drivers, and waste handlers to ensure timely and efficient service. Implement and enforce safety and environmental compliance in all waste operations. Develop and monitor waste segregation strategies at source to ensure proper disposal and recycling. Liaise with third-party contractors, municipalities, and regulatory authorities regarding waste services and permits. Ensure compliance with local and international environmental laws and waste handling regulations. Maintain and optimize waste collection routes and fleet usage for cost efficiency. Monitor and document all waste streams including hazardous, non-hazardous, and recyclable materials. Prepare reports for regulatory bodies, audits, and internal environmental KPIs. Develop training programs for staff in waste handling, collection safety, and environmental practices. Lead initiatives to reduce waste generation and improve recycling and reuse processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in waste collection and disposal management. Strong knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste classification, storage, and transportation. Proven experience in team management, route planning, and fleet coordination. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Familiarity with waste handling laws, environmental permits, and inspection readiness.
