Warehouse Quality Control Officer

to join our operations team in

Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai

, to ensure that our food waste segregation and handling processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Location:

Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Dubai

Work Schedule:

6 days per week (including weekends)

Probation Period:

6 months

Preference:

Candidates with their own UAE residency visa

Key Responsibilities



Quality Control & Training



Oversee and inspect segregation activities at the warehouse to identify and eliminate contamination in food waste streams. Ensure segregation staff adhere to The Waste Lab's standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct regular training sessions for the segregation team to reinforce proper techniques, safety, and hygiene standards. Develop and maintain checklists, inspection forms, and records of daily quality control activities.

Team Coordination & Workflow Management



Organize and manage the segregation team's schedules, shifts, and task assignments. Monitor team performance, attendance, and productivity, and provide feedback as needed. Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure sufficient manpower coverage and smooth workflow.

Reporting & Documentation



Prepare daily and weekly quality control reports summarizing segregation performance, contamination levels, and issues identified. Maintain records of waste received, processed, and sent to composting. Collaborate with the

Data Team

to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of segregation metrics. Work with the

Compost Team

to ensure that only clean organic waste is transferred to the composting process.

Operational Support



Ensure proper functioning of warehouse equipment and immediately report malfunctions or damages. Support the Data and Operations teams in improving overall efficiency, safety, and data accuracy in waste handling. Assist in audits and site inspections when required.

Candidate Requirements



Proven experience in

warehouse operations, waste management, or quality control

(preferred in food or environmental sectors). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Good command of

English

(Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is an advantage). Proficiency in

Excel

and familiarity with digital reporting tools. Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate team members. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements. Passion for sustainability and commitment to The Waste Lab's mission and values. Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with flexibility and initiative.
