Job Role: Warehouse Manager (Freight and Forwarding)

Position Overview:

As a Warehouse Manager for Freight and Forwarding in Jebel Ali, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and management of the warehouse facilities. Your primary focus will be to ensure the smooth flow of goods, effective inventory management, and the timely distribution of freight and forwarding services. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinate with various departments, and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes and enhance overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management: * Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, security protocols, and industry regulations.
• Implement efficient layouts and organization strategies to maximize warehouse space utilization.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee accurate record-keeping of stock movements.

Team Leadership and Development: * Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment.

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
• Motivate the team to achieve operational targets and maintain high-quality standards.

Process Improvement: * Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics and freight forwarding processes.

Equipment and Technology: * Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of warehouse equipment and technology.

• Keep abreast of technological advancements and implement suitable systems to improve operations.

Quality Control and Compliance: * Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping to avoid discrepancies and minimize errors.

• Comply with legal regulations, customs requirements, and international trade standards.

Customer Service: * Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

• Strive to meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals.

Budget Management: * Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the warehouse budget.

• Optimize costs without compromising on service quality.

Health and Safety: * Promote a culture of safety and enforce health and safety guidelines for all warehouse activities.

• Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff.

Requirements: * Bachelor\'s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in warehouse management in the freight and forwarding industry.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and freight forwarding processes.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and technology.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping procedures in Jebel Ali is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
