Currently, we're seeking a warehouse manager to join our team and manage operations within our warehouse center in Jebel Ali, this professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times. Objectives of this Role

  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and delivery.
  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Prepare an annual leave plan and manage the workforce in the warehouse without disturbing the operational activities of the department.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, deliveries, and customer service.
  • Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet the demands of the delivery center and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Inspect vehicles, equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with the data storage system.
  • Prepare annual budget.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, transport companies, forwarders, and government institutions such as JAFZA, and customs.
  • Coordination with Sales & purchase teams for outbound & inbound shipments and respective documentation to make sure they are in order and avoid any penalties/fines relating to documentation errors and raise the issue as soon as possible with the relevant authority to avoid any delays in shipment as well as financial consequences.
  • Plan work rotes, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and brief team daily.
  • Produce monthly reports and statistics for the management.
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of warehouse & logistics.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Has strong knowledge and experience in WMS & managing logistics documentation and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English, Urdu)
  • Advanced degree in engineering or logistics
  • Proficiency with ERP systems for warehouse management
