Job Description
Responsibilities: Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect incoming perfume shipments/stocks, verifying the accuracy of the delivered products against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain the inventory area, ensuring proper shelving, labeling, and categorization of products for easy retrieval.
- Regularly conduct stock counts and update inventory records to track product levels and prevent stockouts.
- Report any discrepancies or damages in the inventory to the Accounts manager/Shop Supervisor.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the store coordinator/Accounts Manager to determine optimal stock levels based on sales trends and seasonal demand.
- Place orders with suppliers or the head office to replenish stock as needed, ensuring timely delivery and restocking.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers.
- Display products in an attractive manner, ensuring that shelves and displays are well-stocked and presentable.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels and any stock-related issues for management review.
- Implement loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage and theft, such as security tags and surveillance cameras.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the Shop Supervisor..
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with perfume products and brands is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to lift and move boxes or packages as required.
- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
