A. Guest Service Excellence

Greet guests warmly within

10 seconds

of seating. Present menus, explain signature dishes, and highlight chef recommendations. Provide

professional suggestions

(upselling) based on guest preferences. Record orders accurately using POS and confirm special instructions/allergies. Ensure drinks and appetizers are served promptly. Check on guests regularly without interrupting their experience. Handle complaints politely and escalate when necessary.

B. Table Management & Service Flow

Set up tables with cutlery, plates, napkins, and glassware according to standard. Ensure tables are clean and ready before guests arrive. Deliver food and drinks following

service sequence

. Clear tables efficiently and reset within

2-3 minutes

. Assist with table arrangements for large groups and events.

C. Menu & Product Knowledge

Maintain strong knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, cooking styles, allergens, and portion sizes. Understand Iraqi modern cuisine storytelling -- dish origins, flavors, and chef innovations. Stay updated with new items, limited edits, and promotions.

D. Communication & Coordination

Coordinate smoothly with food runners, busser, bar, and kitchen team. Communicate order changes immediately to the kitchen. Work closely with supervisors to maintain service quality.

E. Billing & Payment Handling

Present the bill accurately and on time. Process cash, card, and digital payments securely. Ensure correct change is given. Follow company procedures for discounts or voids.

F. Cleanliness & Hygiene

Maintain personal hygiene and correct uniform standards. Keep service stations, cutlery, and trays clean and organized. Follow food safety and HACCP requirements.

G. Additional Duties

Support colleagues during busy hours (teamwork culture). Participate in staff briefings and daily meetings. Report maintenance issues immediately. Assist in stock counting when needed. Promote the restaurant concept and ensure guest loyalty.

6. Job RequirementsA. Education & Experience

Previous experience as a waiter in a casual/fine dining restaurant preferred (1-2 years). Experience in Middle Eastern cuisine is an advantage but not required.

B. Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication skills in

English

(Arabic is a plus). Strong customer service attitude with a warm personality. Multitasking ability under pressure. Good memory and accuracy when taking orders. Basic POS knowledge. Time-management and problem-solving skills.

C. Personal Qualities

Professional appearance, clean uniform, and positive body language. Friendly, confident, and guest-focused. Team player with a supportive mindset. Fast learner and adaptable in busy environments. Strong work ethic and punctuality.

D. Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long hours. Ability to carry trays, plates, and service equipment safely.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 70 per week
