Job Overview:
The Waiter/Waitress is the primary point of contact for guests at their tables. They are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Service: Greet guests, present menus, and explain menu items, specials, and chef recommendations.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Order Delivery: Serve food and drinks to the correct guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Upselling: Suggest appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Check Management: Present bills, process payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Table Maintenance: Monitor tables for guest needs, clear plates, and refill beverages. Reset tables for the next guests after they leave.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a customer service role.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- POS system proficiency.
- Team-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
