Job Description

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, efficient service, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly. Present menus and answer questions about food and beverage items, making recommendations when appropriate. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system or order pad. Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally. Anticipate and respond to guest needs and requests throughout their meal. Address any guest complaints or issues promptly and courteously, escalating to management when necessary. Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions.

Table Maintenance:

Set up dining areas before service, including table settings, condiments, and decor. Clear tables between courses and after guests depart. Clean and reset tables for the next guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.

Communication & Teamwork:

Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests. Collaborate with other team members (e.g., hosts, bussers, bartenders) to ensure smooth service. Inform management of any issues or concerns regarding guests, food quality, or operations.

Compliance & Safety:

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress or Server in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good memory for taking orders and remembering customer preferences. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
