Role Summary
To provide excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience. This includes greeting guests, taking and serving orders accurately, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, handling payments, and cooperating with kitchen/bar staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Greet guests promptly and courteously; escort them to tables if needed.
Present menus; explain or answer questions about specials, ingredients, portion sizes, menu offerings, possible food allergies.
Take food and drink orders; enter them accurately into POS or order system and relay to kitchen/bar.
Serve the orders to guests in a timely, correct, and professional manner. Ensure presentation and quality meets standards.
Refill beverages, change cutlery, remove dirty dishes, clean tables, reset table for next guest.
Assist with side duties: setup and clean service stations, maintain supply of condiments, linens, glassware; ensure storage and service areas are clean.
Check on guest satisfaction, respond to complaints or requests, escalate to supervisor/manager if necessary.
Handle payment and billing; process cash or card payments, respect house policies for tips or service charge.
Maintain personal presentation / grooming; wear correct uniform, name badge as required.
Adhere to health, safety, hygiene standards (including food safety rules).
Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays; assist during peak times.
