Role

The VP of Finance , you will provide strategic financial planning and analytical support for senior management. This role is instrumental in leading all financial and business planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, predictive modelling, data analysis, financial reporting and Investor relations across the company. You will also lead the preparation of board presentations, financial presentations, and other projects requested by senior management. This position will help identify opportunities that have the most business impact and be a key leader in driving the business forward. This position requires a proven finance leader who fosters a sense of endless curiosity and camaraderie among the team and influences the organization through proactive, actionable analytics, insights, and reporting. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for defining the future of performance at Classera and leading data-driven decision-making processes across the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Drive the development and execution of financial strategies aligning with the company\'s goals, collaborating closely with executive leadership to enhance growth and profitability through insightful financial analysis.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take the lead in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with senior leaders to establish financial targets, analyse variances, and accurate reporting while leveraging advanced financial models and collaborating with the actuarial team for precise forecasts.
  • Performance Analysis: Craft comprehensive quarterly business reviews alongside the CEO and COO, conducting thorough financial analysis to identify areas for improvement, support strategic initiatives, and optimize overall financial health by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiating initiatives for enhanced financial results.
  • Investor Relations: Assess capital structure and financing options to support growth and expansion plans. Prepare financial reports and presentations for board meetings.
  • Oversight Collection: Establishing company-wide SOPs for Account payables and receivables
  • Establishing a cost centre to centralise operational finance.
  • audited financials: Establishing auditing governance framework and engaging audit partners
  • Treasury: Determine cash requirements/concentration, short-term cash investments as well as maintenance of appropriate cash flow. Establishes short-term borrowing needs and recommends short-term investing initiatives.
  • Mergers & acquisitions: Prepare integration readiness assessments, develop integration strategies, target due diligence, and post-close integration management
  • Determining Profitability & across products
  • Strategic Decision Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in decision-making processes, assessing risks and opportunities related to payer negotiations and Requests for Proposals, while conducting scenario analysis to strengthen strategic planning and mitigate potential financial risks.
  • Team Leadership: Shape and lead an exceptional finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, and ensuring the development of team members for a robust talent pipeline and effective succession planning.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: CFA, CPA or Masters in Accounting & Finance from internally credited university
  • Minimum Experience: 12 15 years of experience with at least 8 -10 years in a similar line of business, including experience of dealing with the Boards and serving in a management role with the provision of strategic direction at a senior level.
  • Detailed knowledge of principles, policies, procedures, and internal processes pertaining to the sectors accounting and finance function
