Job Description



We are looking for a Vice President, responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Healthcare Division of our large Dubai based client. The job holder will also be responsible for ensuring and achieving competitive growth, profitability and market share.

Strategic Responsibilities:
  • Develops the strategy for the Division in line with the stated Group\'s priorities
  • Leads the preparation and management of annual budget for the Division in conjunction with the Group\'s budget and secures subsequent approval
  • Monitors the performance of the Division against approved strategy plans and budgets and ensure remedial action is taken.
  • Maintains requisite level of productivity and efficiency within the Division for ensuring a cost effective and high performing culture
  • Defines the operating framework and policies for the Division and ensures compliance with internal quality standards
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of services within and outside the Division
Core Responsibilities:
  • Develops short and long term business strategies for the Division, and ensures implementation of the same to achieve commercial gains and objectives
  • Assesses and analyzes market size/share and sales potential to define the Divisions growth and footprint in the Healthcare retail and wholesale business
  • Directs the designs and completion of the organization structure for the division in conjunction with Group HR to facilitate delivery of the Division\'s strategic plan
  • Ensures efficient and effective management of the Division\'s finances through all necessary financial controls, systems and processes, and ensures accuracy and integrity of the business\'s financial records
  • Oversees the activity in retail operations of the Division, ensuring that all activities are aligned to meet customer requirements and improve customer satisfaction
  • Oversees the retail operations and provides inputs for store displays/concept
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with principals and other suppliers, to ensure continued partnership in the Region
  • Develops new wholesale business opportunities
  • Collaborates with the Property Development Department to identify and grow retail outlets, to increase the footprint and competitiveness of the Business
  • Ensures the Division\'s compliance with Loss Prevention to ensure that loss prevention programs are in place across all store locations
  • Supports the development of the of the Healthcare Division, through working in close collaboration with the Marketing department, in order to fully leverage the brand
  • Works closely with various departments to identify gaps in standards, refine processes and procedures, and establish guidelines, to increase the overall efficiency levels of all functions within the Division
  • Oversees end-to-end Human Resources requirements of the Division, and ensures optimal allocation, utilization and development of human resources to meet the current and future needs of the organization
  • Manages and oversees inventory levels to ensure that inventory losses are minimal
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Governmental and Regulatory authorities to ensure the Division operates as per the requirements and guidelines
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Physicians and other healthcare providers with an objective to strengthen the Division\'s business
  • Inculcates a performance driven culture on an ongoing basis and provide guidance when needed
People Management:
  • Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective implementation of performance management process
  • Develops talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to achieve the defined goals
  • Drives a culture of feedback and coaching in the Business Unit/ Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs and coaching and mentoring the employees on the areas of improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Master\'s Degree in Business Administration is Preferred
  • License from : Dubai Health Authority, Health Authority - Abu Dhabi and Ministry of Health
  • A minimum of 10 - 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a similar role, preferably in the Pharmaceutical retail business
  • Fluent in English skills (written and spoken)
