My client is a successful and growing banking group headquartered in Abu Dhabi who are looking for a new Balance Sheet Optimization VP to join the Treasury team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role within a top tier Global Bank. Main duties will include:
- Lead proposal development to enhance FTP methodology, assess factors including effectiveness of FTP process to transfer interest rate & liquidity risk from lines of business to Global Markets & Group Treasury
- Proactively produce balance sheet analyses to optimize Group\xe2\x80\x99s structural interest rate & liquidity position
- Lead production of regular & ad-hoc analyses on balance sheet as required by Head of Balance Sheet Mgmt. & Group Treasurer
- Drive enhancements to BAU FTP MI to support decision making by Group ALCO & Product heads
- Collaborate with FTBS to ensure accurate application of Liquidity Premia & COF/VOF rates to all balance sheet items in Group FTP model
- Identify opportunities to strengthen control framework of monthly FTP process & obtain buy-in from key stakeholders to implement recommendations
- Provide high quality explanations to business finance teams, clearly articulating drivers of month-on-month change in FTP
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of Group FTP model configuration, FTP treatment of all products on Bank\xe2\x80\x99s chart of Accounts, & maintain log of all adjustments and special rates applied to FTP output produced by the Group FTP model.
- Ensure accurate posting of all FTP-related adjustments to One SumX in a timely manner.
