Within the Global Markets & Technologies WBU, the Maritime activity connects a wide range of global markets to essential molecules across borders and oceans. Air Liquide Maritime is organised along four business units: Offshore Energies, Cryogenic Supply, Global Rare Gases and Global Helium, and is also supporting OCEOS, a joint Venture to offer CO2 shipping and barging services for CCS projects across Europe.
Helium is a unique molecule in the Group portfolio, serving both the Industrial Merchant and Electronics World Business Lines. It offers many growth opportunities in diverse markets, which notably include electronics, medical imaging, space, cryogenics, specialty gases, diving, airbag, fibre optics, airship, metal fabrication and recreational markets.

Helium teams are located worldwide: Dubai, Germany, France, USA, and China and Dubai is the central location of Helium activities for Air Liquide wit~30 employees.
More than 10 different nationalities are represented in Helium teams.

The position of Operations Controller is part of the Finance department overseeing Helium activities. It covers activities such as reporting/business analysis, consolidation, accounting, internal control, treasury and corporate finance matters, working closely with teams within and outside UAE.

The key missions of this role are to:

Reporting & Target/Forecast

Support the monthly closure process to ensure correct P&L (esp. Helium sales & sourcing, accruals, internal backcharges) including cost & profit center split and KPIs

Participate in the financial Flash comments incl. variance analysis (Single Month and YTD vs. Last year and last forecast) as well as the required Local, Cluster and Group reportings.

Prepare bottom-up target budget and forecasts, coordinate with respective Managers and ensure consistent & realistic figures

Business Analysis

Analyze business performance, present findings and recommendation to Managers (impact of business changes, sales, costs, efficiencies)

Help to implement and to follow dashboards for efficiencies, investments, leveraging on Power BI tool

Assist in preparation of Management reviews (KPI table, Zoom subjects)

Follow up customers\xe2\x80\x99 payments and overdues.

Support the annual external audit. Provide supportive documents or analysis.

Support business operations

Serve as the "go to" person for the affiliate operational Financial questions (incl. ERP related)

Review purchase orders against budget and Financial dimensions to ensure proper business analysis

Ensure correct tracking and invoicing of Helium Sales (quantities and price) through mass balance reconciliation (with customers, GPS container readings) together with the Supply Chain team

Ensure operational controls & operations are in compliance with company policies and best practices (invoice checking, PtP, stock quantity measurement)

Assist team members with new vendor set ups and purchase orders processing

Assist in proper booking and accounting.

Microsoft suite, Google suite. Practical usage of ERP would be a plus.
