Job Description
We are looking for 3 (Three) Video Editors: What is your job role? As a Social Media Video Editor for Newsreels you will be in charge of creating and editing viral videos and publishing these videos on social media channels. Responsibilities: As a video editor for the Newsreels team your work will include creating and editing content to go viral on social media channels. Your main job will be the editing This will involve creating ideas for videos, organizing the shooting and editing raw clips, adding watermarks, trimming down dull moments, writing and adding subtitles - all to ultimately create high retention throughout the video and help it go VIRAL! Other areas that you may be involved in include helping with creative video concepts e.g. helping strategize and implement video ideas and collaborating on strategy to dominate new social platforms. Must haves:
- Enthusiasm around video editing and social media content
- Excellent video editing skills
- Great understanding of the different social media platforms
- High level English and impeccable grammar and punctuation skills.
- Excellent video editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop & After Effects
- Understanding of storytelling and what makes engaging, shareable stories
- Experience working to strict deadlines and targets
- Video Editor: 2 years (Preferred)
