About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Vice President of Communications to join our corporate office at Jumeirah Group. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

Lead the design of the group-wide corporate communications strategy and standards, in alignment with the corporate and commercial strategies, in order to ensure that the Group engages its diversified audiences in a compelling manner and enhance its brand reputation.

Collaborate with the Group\'s leadership to refine the Group\'s voice, priority communication messages and positioning within its community to ensure that the Group is positively perceived by colleagues, guests, business partners, media, investors and financial analysts locally and globally.

Lead the delivery of the internal communication strategy, through innovative and integrated communication channels, in order to build internal alignment and cohesion, enable employees\' understanding of business priorities and performance as well as increase employee engagement.

Lead the implementation of the external communication strategy, through multi-channel communication platforms and the development of strong relationships with a diversified network of media and other influencers, in order to compellingly convey the Group\'s messages and maximize positive media coverage.

Play a key role in directing crisis communication and in offsetting any reputational risks on behalf of the Group, both internally and externally, in order to ensure that all potential threats to its image are mitigated in an effective and timely manner.

Advise the leadership of the company on major change initiatives, providing communications support in the design and execution of such initiatives, ensuring that the communication needs of internal and external stakeholders are professionally managed and the company reputation is protected in the process.

Contribute, in conjunction with and as required by the Chief Commercial Officer, to the formulation and implementation of the Group Commercial strategy in line with Jumeirah Group\'s vision, mission and strategy.

Ensure that the commercial strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for Corporate Communications function and that performance is monitored and reported so that any necessary actions are taken in a timely manner.

Manage department staff and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence and motivated work environment while continuing to deploy resources effectively for growth and further strengthening the employee value proposition.

Recommend the Corporate Communications budget, and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/ revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and

potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.

Develop and oversee the implementation of Corporate Communications policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the department\'s activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that Jumeirah Group delivers world class services, excellence and innovation.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.

At least 10 years of corporate communications experience preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.

Experience of working in an international capacity and a solid understanding of cultural and market differences.
