Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support our veterinarians by performing a wide range of duties, including assisting in surgeries, managing patient care, handling diagnostic tasks, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Assist veterinarians with patient exams, monitor vital signs, and provide care to animals before, during, and after procedures.

Surgical Assistance:

Prepare animals and surgical areas for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and assist during surgeries to ensure safety and quality.

Laboratory Duties:

Conduct diagnostic tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiography, ensuring timely and accurate results.

Client Communication:

Educate pet owners on post-procedural care, medication administration, and wellness plans, fostering strong, supportive client relationships.

Clinic Maintenance:

Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, follow biosecurity protocols, and ensure all equipment and supplies are stocked and properly sterilized.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and administrative staff to ensure cohesive, high-quality care for our patients.

Qualifications:

Licensed Veterinary Technician with valid certification. Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a small animal practice. Strong understanding of veterinary medicine, pharmacology, and anesthesia techniques. Excellent communication skills and empathy toward animals and their owners. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
