Iliad Partners is a Venture Capital firm based in the UAE that invests in early-stage technology companies in the MENA region. We invest in MENA startups with a focus on UAE and Saudi Arabia that are powering the tech enablement and digitization of the region’s economy across key verticals including fintech, proptech, logistics, and edtech via localized solutions. We focus on highly scalable, post-revenue technology companies, primarily in B2B, at the Pre-Series A and Series A stages that have already achieved product-market fit and are now looking to grow their business in their home market and expand cross-border into new markets in the GCC, such as Saudi Arabia and UAE, and beyond. We partner with founders to help them build their startups into high-growth ventures that will become the disruptive companies of tomorrow. The Investment Intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the VC sector by taking an active and relevant role within the team. Always supported by the wider team, you will have the unique opportunity to work on live deals, develop the investment pipeline, conduct sectorial research and gain exposure to the VC ecosystem of the MENA region. This is a fast-paced role for ambitious university students majoring in business administration, finance or related majors with a flexible, data-driven mindset that aim to build a career in investments and venture capital. The internship will allow you to develop knowledge of the MENA VC ecosystem, its trends and developments, the most important verticals and sub-verticals and gain direct experience with deal analysis. Requirements

• Strong analytical academic and professional background; Prior experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking or Management Consulting is a strong plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, “can do” mentality and proactive. No task is below you, just like no task is below any the other members of the team.

• Given the mostly remote nature of the job, ability to self-pace and stick to deadlines is critical. We will do our best to provide you the tools and support to meet them.
  
  
• A passion for technology, innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship.
  
  
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
  
  
• Previous experience researching trends, datasets, databases is a plus.

Position Details

• Roles: We are looking to hire 1 intern in the UAE and 1 in KSA
• Position Type: Part-Time (10-20 hours expected per week)
• Duration: September 15 to December 15, 2022 (3 months)
• Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAE and Riyadh, KSA / Remote
