Role Purpose


The Vendor Onboarding Manager will be responsible for building and scaling marketplace's supplier ecosystem by owning the end-to-end vendor onboarding lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring that only

compliant, operationally ready, and high-quality vendors

are activated on the platform, enabling marketplace to scale rapidly as a UAE-first marketplace.

Job Responsibilities



Own the complete vendor onboarding journey from lead qualification to go-live Identify, engage, and onboard

local UAE suppliers and brands

aligned with marketplace category strategy and quality benchmarks Act as the primary point of contact for vendors during onboarding, ensuring a smooth, fast, and structured experience Validate vendor documentation including trade licenses, VAT registration, bank details, contracts, and compliance requirements Ensure vendors meet marketplace standards for product quality, pricing, availability, packaging, and delivery capabilities Coordinate product listing readiness including SKU data, pricing, MOQ alignment, images, descriptions, and category mapping Work closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Technology teams to ensure vendors are operationally and system-ready Facilitate vendor training on marketplace processes, SLAs, fulfilment models, returns, and performance expectations Ensure vendor onboarding timelines are met without compromising compliance or quality checks Monitor onboarding KPIs such as time-to-live, vendor activation rate, documentation accuracy, and early performance metrics Identify onboarding bottlenecks and continuously improve processes, SOPs, and automation workflows Support contract execution, commercial alignment, and onboarding-related negotiations in coordination with management Ensure vendors are correctly configured in ERP/OMS systems for orders, payouts, inventory, and reporting Maintain accurate vendor records and onboarding documentation for audit and compliance purposes Coordinate handover of activated vendors to Operations and Category teams with clear performance expectations Act as the escalation point for onboarding-related issues, delays, or vendor concerns Support category expansion and rapid vendor scale-up during peak growth phases and campaign launches Contribute market intelligence on supplier pricing, assortment gaps, and onboarding best practices Ensure alignment with UAE consumer protection laws, marketplace policies, and internal governance standards

Experience Requirements



4-8 years of experience in

vendor onboarding, supplier management, marketplace operations, procurement, or e-commerce operations

Prior experience working with

marketplace or multi-vendor platforms

(B2B or B2C) Strong understanding of

vendor documentation, compliance, and onboarding workflows

in the UAE Hands-on experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, tech, and legal Familiarity with

ERP / OMS systems

(Zoho preferred) Experience onboarding

local suppliers, distributors, or brands

is a strong advantage Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor-facing skills Highly process-driven with the ability to manage multiple vendors simultaneously Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and operational metrics

Education & Certifications



Bachelor's degree MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus Certifications in

Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management

are advantageous (Preffered)
