Vehicle Mechanic
Job Description
Accountable for the implementation of the repair and maintenance program in the garage to eliminate delivery downtime due to vehicle unavailability and to ensure that all the required resources are available and well kept and useable at all time.
1. Full support to all safety and quality program of the company.
2. Ensure that the schedule vehicle PM program A & B of the company are being implemented on time.
3. Ensure that all the spare parts for installation/fixing to vehicles are properly done & do all possible means to avoid any wastage.
4. Help in cleaning the garage and arranged/sort out useful materials from scrap items.
5. Ensure that all assigned tools are well kept and used them only for what they are intended for,
6. Attend road breakdown service of delivery vehicles including those of other operating point.
7. Attend to electrical and hydraulic repair of vehicles as may be required.
8. Demonstrate high standards of safety and awareness and good housekeeping in place of work.
9. Do and assist in all major repair of vehicle like engine overhauling, pulling down/repair of transmission and other corrective repair as may be required.
10. Reports problems encountered for new processes or changes and include suggestions to resolve same
11. Performs other duties which might be assigned from time to time.
Skills:
Repairing, trouble shooting, maintenance, spare parts selection, and safekeeping,
Basic knowledge in maintenance and repairs of light and heavy vehicles and equipments.
