- Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services

Amazon is a global organisation at the forefront of the digital economy and offers a great opportunity for a dynamic and experienced indirect tax professional within Amazon's international indirect tax compliance function. The VAT Compliance Analyst will work on indirect tax compliance and audit for Amazon group entities primarily in the Middle East and Africa region. The analyst is expected to work independently with minimal support with internal and external business partners, identify and implement process improvement opportunities and drive positive change across the organisation.

oManaging day to day indirect tax compliance reporting for allocated Amazon group entities
o Working closely with cross function teams and improving tax compliance processes
oIndividually owning the process and work related to indirect tax audit
oEvaluating the tax effect and implications business transactions from a tax compliance and audit perspective
oReviewing tax accounting, provisioning and leading interactions with internal and statutory auditors
oWorking on various projects impacting the future strategy of the indirect tax function to minimise/mitigate adverse litigation
Publishing trackers and dashboards on key tax risks and exceptions
oWorking with internal stakeholders to gather required information for effective management of audits.


Tax or Accounting professional qualification with proven experience of preparing VAT returns and Balance sheet reconciliation
