Responsible for driving the sales van to HoReCa customers (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes), generating sales, delivering products, managing collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Customer Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with HoReCa clients within the assigned route.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Identify new business opportunities and onboard new HoReCa customers.
Present products, promotional items, and offers to customers effectively.
2. Delivery & Merchandising
Ensure accurate loading and unloading of products (dry, chilled, and frozen).
Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO during product handling.
Coordinate with warehouse for product availability and stock requirements.
3. Cash Collection & Documentation
Collect payments (cash/cheque) from customers as per company policy.
Submit cash collections and invoices on the same day.
Maintain accurate sales invoices, delivery notes, and van stock reports.
4. Van Stock & Inventory Control
Perform daily stock counts and ensure van stock accuracy.
Prevent stock variances and report any discrepancies immediately.
Maintain product quality and temperature standards during transportation.
5. Compliance & Standards
Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines, and hygiene standards.
Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the sales van.
Report sales activities, route issues, and customer feedback to the supervisor.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years as Van Salesman in the HoReCa segment (Food or FMCG preferred).
License:
Valid UAE Manual Driving License (Required).
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good knowledge of HoReCa market routes
Basic math and invoice handling
Customer service orientation
Language:
English required; Arabic/Hindi/Malayalam is an advantage.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to handle loading/unloading of products.
