The Van Salesman is responsible for selling and distributing company products directly to customers by driving a van along assigned routes. The role involves managing sales targets, collecting payments, maintaining stock levels in the van, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and sell products to retail outlets, supermarkets, or designated clients on a daily route.
Achieve monthly and daily sales targets set by the sales manager.
Ensure the van is stocked with the appropriate products and quantities before starting the route.
Build and maintain good relationships with customers to increase customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Collect payments from customers as per company policy (cash, cheque, or credit).
Issue proper invoices or receipts for all sales.
Monitor and report on competitor activities and pricing in the market.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery van.
Handle customer complaints and report unresolved issues to the supervisor.
Maintain accurate sales and inventory records and submit reports on a daily/weekly basis.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in FMCG or food & beverage sales (preferred).
Valid UAE manual driving license (required).
Good knowledge of sales and customer service practices.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
Physical ability to load and unload products.
