TransJet Cargo is looking for a motivated top-shelf Sales Representative. We are looking for an individual who is looking to join a growing company with huge career advancement opportunities, and a high energy work environment. Must have prior freight brokerage and sales experience of at least 1 year. This position is Salary + Commission based. Commission checks are distributed once a month for loads delivered during the month. The primary purpose of this role is to uncover and identify new business opportunities in order to drive business expansion and revenue.
As a Freight Accounts Executive, you will play a crucial role by identifying, sourcing and developing strong business relationships with potential customers. This is a sales opportunity with a generous base salary plus commission broker sales opportunity.
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will represent our company and promote our services to new customers, build your book of business and establish a network of carriers to provide outstanding customer service. This role combines inside sales, account management and relationship building all into one.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Makes high volume of outbound sales calls; qualifies and initiates contact with potential customers at all levels
Generate and develop new business opportunities
Present and sell freight products and services to new and existing customers
Prospect and contact potential freight partners
Book carriers to handle shipments (if necessary)
Maintain a book of business to retain continuous freight
Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
Process spot requests and develop new sales strategies to improve the business.
Asks fact finding investigation questions, gathers information, and actively listens to prospective customers to understand their business, uncover their problems, and identify impact areas
Identifies needs based on a single and/or multiple decision-makers.
Identifies opportunities where TF Logistics solutions can add value and drive efficiencies within the customers supply chain.
Engages internal resources to determine appropriate pricing, strategy aimed at securing opportunities of increased scope with the customer in the future
Requirements:
REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in transportation, logistics, or broker sales
Basic knowledge of transportation
Experience negotiating with shippers and carriers
Experience generating and managing a book of business
Excellent communication, in person, on the phone and email
Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy outbound call volume
Motivated and self-driven
Strong ability to connect with others and stay focused on the big picture while working on the details
