ob Description
Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of three-phase AC UPS systems and associated battery banks.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including battery health checks, load testing, and performance monitoring.
Carry out troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of UPS systems and related power components.
Support site teams during system commissioning, upgrades, and replacement activities.
Maintain accurate service reports, test records, and documentation.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer recommendations.
Competency Skills
UPS System Knowledge: Strong understanding of single-phase and three-phase AC UPS systems, power electronics, rectifiers, inverters, and control circuits.
Battery Technology Expertise: Knowledge of VRLA, Ni-Cd, and Lithium-ion batteries, including installation, connection methods, charging principles, and capacity testing.
Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose faults in UPS systems, perform root cause analysis, and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
Testing & Commissioning: Skilled in performing site acceptance tests (SAT), factory acceptance tests (FAT), and functional verifications as per manufacturer standards.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Proficiency in carrying out scheduled maintenance, battery health checks, thermographic inspections, and system calibrations.
Electrical Safety & Compliance: Sound knowledge of safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out systems, and compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards.
Documentation & Reporting: Ability to maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation.
