Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead the Non-Motor / General Lines portfolio (Property & Fire, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Credit, Travel, etc.). The role involves ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines, driving profitability, and enhancing or developing insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Underwriting Department. Ensure technical profitability and compliance with underwriting standards. Assess risks and provide quotations across all General Insurance lines. Coordinate with Business Development, clients, and brokers. Oversee Risk Engineers for surveys and PML/MFL assessments. Prepare presentations and update product materials. Set and report KPIs to management. Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and manuals.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Proven leadership and technical expertise in underwriting. Graduate or Postgraduate with
ACII/AIII/FIII
(mandatory). Minimum20 years' experience
, including5 years in a managerial role
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
