Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Service Desk & Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless operation of IT services. You will be the first point of contact for end users, assisting with both hardware and software problems in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:

  • First-line support: Provide efficient and friendly support to users, addressing technical issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
  • Incident management: Log, categorize, and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to relevant teams.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues (e.g., system crashes, network problems, application errors) both remotely and on-site.
  • Software & hardware support: Assist users with software installations, updates, and configuration, as well as hardware setup and repairs.
  • User guidance: Offer clear, understandable instructions and training to end users on IT systems and applications.
  • System monitoring: Proactively monitor and maintain IT systems, identifying potential problems before they affect users.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and updates in the service desk management system.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and provide solutions to enhance user experience.
  • Continuous learning: Stay updated with new technologies and IT solutions to improve service efficiency and knowledge.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, network troubleshooting, and hardware configurations.
  • Customer service: Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach to support and problem-solving.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and think critically under pressure to resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Experience: Previous experience in IT support or a similar role preferred.
  • Certification: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Comfortable collaborating with colleagues and supporting the broader IT team to ensure smooth operations.
