Job Purpose: We are looking for a GIS Processing Specialist to help us with the delivery of our suite of geospatial products to our customers. The role will require excellent organisational and time-management skills. You should have experience working with geospatial data and software. To be successful in this role, you must possess a willingness to collaborate. Communication skills are important as you will be working alongside engineers, ecologists, data scientists and programmers, and of course our customers to manage the delivery of GIS data, improve, and maintain our GIS data processing and analysis pipelines and develop additional capabilities to meet growing customer needs. You should have a strong problem-solving ability and a knack for statistical analysis. If you’re also able to align our data products with our business goals, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to help improve our products and business decisions by making the most out of our data.
Requirements Key Accountabilities:

- Manage the delivery of GIS deliverables to meet contractual deadlines.
- Produce GIS deliverables using internal tools and processes.
- Aid in the development and deployment of new processing and analytic capabilities and procedures.
- Operationally produce geospatial products using internal tools and processes. Including: generating orthomosaics from drone imagery (inc. georeferencing), area classification, plus additional value-added products.
- Undertake Quality Control (QC) of our suite of GIS products and ensure all products are delivered to the highest standard ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to deliver GIS products to customers in a timely manner.
- Support and facilitate development of new products and services if required and test the performance of data-driven products.
- Assist internal teams and customers with GIS tasks.
- Lead data mining and collection procedures.
- Interpret and analyse data problems.
- Conceive, plan, and prioritise data projects.
- Build analytic systems and predictive models.
- Test performance of data-driven products.
- Visualise data and create reports to meet business and customer requirements.
- Experiment with new models and techniques.

- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate delivery of GIS products.
- Multispectral image processing experience
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent foundational GIS knowledge.
- An analytical mind and excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of remote sensing data and technology
- Experience using Linux
- Familiarity with QGIS
- Organisational and teamwork ability
- Great communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience with UAV data processing e.g. photogrammetry using Metashape
- Multispectral image processing experience
- Experience using AWS EC2, S3
- Familiarity with the Python programming language
- Experience with UAV data collection.
- UAV photogrammetry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills (Arabic would be a preference)
