Job Description

The General Manager is a Senior Leadership position for Dendra, being responsible for overseeing the operations of the organisation within the region. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate and driven leader to play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing the regional business unit in the field of ecosystem restoration. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive by building great relationships both internally with your stakeholders and externally with investors, government entities, government ministers and local companies/multinational companies based in the region Requirements
  • Design strategy and set goals for growth in collaboration with sales, marketing, technology, and support services. Develop frequent dialogue and strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to join up and understand customer impacts and how best to improve in the short and longer term.
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance to ensure we maximise revenues, manage costs, optimise efficiencies, provide a great customer experience to be viewed as a long-term partner for our customers and ensure the team are fully engaged.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the region, ensuring all health and safety regulations and requirements are met.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management and cross functional teams.
  • Lead by example and provide guidance and feedback to support team growth, ensuring employees work productively and develop professionally.
  • Ensure and uphold high standards of excellence and product quality.
  • Develop new business relationships to support expansion and growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning performance goals and ensuring completion.
  • Recruit, onboard, train and develop high performing employees to achieve sales, market growth, profitability and Dendra business plan objectives.
  • Maintain project timelines ensuring all tasks are completed on time and on budget in line with contractual terms.
  • Enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and company guidelines.
  • Promote the company’s core values and encourage a company culture that promotes cohesiveness and high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.

  • A strong understanding of our subject matter especially in geospatial products, photogrammetry, imaging, and data analysis in an enterprise context.
  • A strong eye for detail and ability to approach issues with a high level of user empathy.
  • A desire to carve out your own role in a fast-moving, agile environment.
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region, with potential for other international travel.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly with a deep understanding of the bigger picture.
  • Sharp minded and proactive with a positive ‘can-do’ approach and ability to adapt quickly.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
