About the Position
UOWD is seeking applications from candidates to fill the position of Treasury Accountant. The Treasury Accountant will support both accounts receivable and account payable, as well as assisting to maintain student records in finance management system. The position also provides support in fees collection and assists students on financial matters concerning their tuition fees, accommodation and other charges. Key areas of responsibility include:
    • Processing all types of payments including suppliers, students refunds, payroll and grants.
    • Processing petty cash, employee expense claims, credit card and bank transfers and update respective ledgers.
    • Updating payment cancellation approvals, and void payment entry in the Bank Book.
    • Checking and getting the approvals for Fee refunds before Processing.
    • Performing daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
    • Communicating with the staff for clearing the advances in a timely manner.
    • Assisting Financial Accountant on month end reporting
    • Handling all the communication with banks and other financial institutions.
    • Maintaining daily cash closing report and reconciliation summary.
    • Performing reconciliation between different financial system and online portals.
    • Preparing cash flow and updating regularly.
    • Working closely with AP and AR accountants on forecast cash flow.
Ad-hoc Responsibilities
    • Performing duties of accounts payable and receivable as and when required
    • Assisting Financial accountant on month end tasks
    • Provide support to Accounts Receivable Officer in Fees Revenue Management and Control

Education and Experience
Essential
:
    • Bachelor Degree in Business / Commerce or equivalent working experience
    • 4+ years working experience in treasury accounting function in a large / complex organisation
Desirable:
  • Education sector experience
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
    • Thorough knowledge of Accounting principles;
    • Strong technical accounting and treasury knowledge
    • Problem solving and attention to detail skills;
    • Ability to use initiative, work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
    • Computer proficiency including Word and Excel;
    • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
    • Flexibility regarding working hours.
    Desirable:
    • Knowledge and experience in using Oracle.
