Job Role:
A Travel Sales Executive sells travel packages, Visas, flights, hotels, and tours, focusing on meeting client needs, creating custom itineraries, and hitting sales targets by building relationships with customers and suppliers, staying updated on trends, and handling bookings and issues. Key duties involve client consultation, itinerary planning, vendor negotiation, achieving sales goals, and providing excellent service for domestic and international trips.
Key Responsibilities:
-Sales & Client Management:
Promote and sell various travel products (flights, hotels, packages, tours and visas).
Meet with clients to understand their needs, budgets, and preferences.
Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
Generate leads and convert inquiries into sales.
-Itinerary & Booking:
Create customized travel plans and itineraries.
Book flights, accommodations, insurance, and activities.
Handle payments, fees, and manage cancellations or issues.
-Market & Product Expertise:
Stay current on destinations, cultures, weather, and travel trends.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of property features, policies, and unique selling points (if hotel-based).
Research competitors and market behavior.
-Sales Targets & Reporting:
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Prepare sales reports, offer letters, and business correspondence.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proven sales experience in travel or tourism.
Excellent customer service, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of popular destinations and booking systems.
Ability to work under pressure and handle complex bookings.
Tech-savvy with CRM and booking software.
