Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage all aspects of student and staff transportation, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations that support the educational mission of the school.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transport Operations Leadership

Oversee all aspects of student and staff transport services. Ensure regulatory compliance, proper documentation, and vehicle readiness. Liaise with Emirates Transport and other service providers for smooth daily operations and trips.

2. Student Transport

Plan and monitor bus routes and schedules based on student needs and safety. Ensure buses are clean, roadworthy, and compliant at all times. Track student behavior on buses and communicate concerns with relevant staff. Investigate incidents, complaints, and traffic issues involving school transport.

3. School Vehicles & Staff Transport

Maintain a log of all school vehicles including registration, insurance, and maintenance. Supervise vehicle allocation and usage; monitor associated costs. Coordinate timely and efficient staff transportation according to school policy.

4. Traffic and Site Access Management

Manage safe and efficient daily entry and exit procedures for students and vehicles. Support safe student movement across parking areas and restrict parking in undesignated zones. Coordinate with police and authorities for traffic management, as required.

5. Communication & Coordination

Communicate regularly with school leadership, transport providers, and parents. Coordinate with internal teams for trip planning, special events, and access needs.

6. Staff Supervision

Lead and support transport-related staff, including performance management. Support recruitment and training of drivers or related personnel.

Key Skills & Requirements

Minimum high school diploma; relevant transport/logistics qualifications preferred 2+ years' experience in a similar transport role, preferably in a school environment Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills Proficient in English Valid police clearance and background check Knowledge of UAE traffic and transport regulations
