Job Description

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods and personnel. This role involves coordinating schedules, liaising with carriers, managing documentation, and monitoring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate daily transportation activities including scheduling, routing, and dispatching shipments. Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any transportation issues or delays. Prepare and maintain transportation documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and shipment records. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards. Analyze transportation costs and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and generate regular reports. Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to synchronize transportation and delivery schedules. Support the implementation of transportation management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards. Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently Standard business hours, with possible extended hours during peak periods.
