To manage and oversee the daily transportation operations of the school, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely transport of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and supervise school bus routes and schedules to ensure efficiency and punctuality.
Monitor daily bus operations and ensure compliance with school policies, safety standards, and traffic regulations.
Supervise bus drivers and bus attendants; provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Inspect buses regularly to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely servicing and repair of school vehicles.
Handle student discipline issues that occur during transportation, in coordination with school authorities.
Maintain accurate records of routes, fuel usage, mileage, and driver logs.
Ensure all transport staff hold valid licenses and necessary certifications.
Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, or accidents, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school administration regarding transportation concerns.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and security procedures for student transport.
Prepare periodic reports on transport operations, costs, and issues.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Administration, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
Prior experience in school transport management or fleet supervision.
Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and route planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
