Charterhouse are working with a global logistics firm in the oil & gas industry, who are hiring an Assistant General Manager for Transportation Operations.
About the Role
The Transport Operations role will be responsible for assisting all aspects of fleet management for our client, including health and safety, risk management, account management and staff training.
This broad role will cover the contract renewals and negotiations with existing customers, while building relationships and handling enquiries for new potential clients. The Assistant General Manager will be required to train and motivate staff within the Operations team, while also promoting safety awareness through health, safety and environment initiatives. The AGM will also monitor fleet utilization and handle any cases of idle resources or shortage of resources.
About You
The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of work experience in the oil transport industry, with a minimum of 5 years at a management level. The ideal candidate will have previous exposure to health and safety management, business development, and staff training from a similar organisation. The candidate must be a native Arabic speaker to be considered for the role.
