The Transport Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and optimal fleet utilization. The role involves liaising with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline transport activities, ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements.
Plan and schedule transportation routes and delivery timelines.
Assign and coordinate drivers, vehicles, and loads.
Monitor transport operations and respond to delays or issues.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and driver hours.
Communicate with internal departments, customers, and external partners to manage expectations and resolve issues.
Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety, legal, and regulatory standards.
Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and liaise with maintenance teams.
Manage transport documentation including manifests, delivery notes, and invoices.
Optimize transport costs through effective planning and load consolidation.
Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization.
