THE PROJECT

KBR are supporting the Iraq Ministry of Planning with the development of economic and social policies within the varied governmental sectors to achieve the national development objectives. KBR will provide consultancy services covering economic master plan, project prioritization, technical and financial review, project management, ongoing project monitoring and negotiation support.

THE ROLE

Responsible for interpretation and translation of project meetings, minutes and documentation from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Translate Project documents from Arabic to English and English to Arabic as directed by Senior Translator and Administration Manager. Carry out quality checks on translations. Act as an interpreter in meetings when required by Senior Translator. Maintain the Project Translation Glossary of terms.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Degree in Languages or a related subject; Preferable for Arabic to be the mother language; Minimum of 5 years experience in translation services with some previous technical experience. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents.
