Responsibilities:

Translate written documents, including business correspondence, marketing materials, contracts, and other content between

Portuguese

and

Chinese

(Simplified and/or Traditional). Provide interpretation services for meetings, conferences, and video calls between Portuguese and Chinese-speaking stakeholders. Ensure translations maintain the tone, intent, and context of the original content. Edit and proofread translations for accuracy and consistency. Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, legal, and operations, to deliver high-quality translations in a timely manner. Assist in localizing content for specific markets, ensuring cultural and linguistic appropriateness. Stay up-to-date with language and translation trends to maintain high-quality service.
Requirements:

Fluent in

Portuguese

and

Chinese

(Mandarin). Additional Chinese dialects (e.g., Cantonese) are a plus. Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in a professional setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools) and proofreading/editing techniques. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality translations. Previous experience in a specific industry (e.g., legal, marketing, technical) is a plus.
