Training and Capability Specialist Grade: 6 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. The successful candidate is responsible for the support, mentoring and development of teaching staff in the Technical Studies Institute (TSI) to meet the needs of the TTS Training Plan. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES The successful candidate is required to: · Prepare and implement individual learning plans for employees in order to establish a learning path of professional development related to job roles within the School of English Language (SEL) and the Academic Wing (AW). · Provide tutorial and mentoring support to newly-qualified and probationary instructors. · Implement procedures, processes and controls to deliver Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Personal Improvement Plans (PIPS) to ensure compliance with the capability process. · Adhere to working practices to ensure they comply with all current departmental policies, procedures and work instructions conducting regular reviews to ensure they are applied and reflect the efficient practices appropriate to a dynamic organisation. · Contribute as required to supporting business development activities · Perform classroom assessments and observations when necessary for all SEL employees. · Deliver training workshops and presentations for staff based on requisite requirements. · Lead the development and delivery of designated new and existing training programmes and projects, specifically Spark/LinkedIn Learning to satisfy TSI and individual needs and to time, cost and quality requirements. · Identify and initiate specific courses for staff to develop the necessary skills and competencies required to meet the business needs. · Conduct training needs analyses where necessary, training solutions development and training design activities for projects both within and external to the business unit · Keep up to date in area(s) of expertise to enable training services provided to be fully current and relevant, and to help the Business be aware of new developments. · Liaise with Senior English Language Teachers (SELTs) to provide support for English Language Teachers (ELTs) where deficits in standards have been observed by StanEval in lesson observations RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The successful candidate must: · Hold a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in a multi-skill Technical Discipline (or recognised equivalent qualification) · Be educated to degree level in a relevant field · Have a current IELTS 7 or equivalent achieved within the last 2 years for non native speakers. · Have extensive teaching/instructional experience as well as hold a recognised formal teaching qualification such as Cert Ed. · Proven experience in the development, management/supervisory and delivery of academic education and training programmes. · Have an ability to think analytically and express solutions to complex issues in simple language · Possess good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design and instructional techniques. · Have experience of coaching and mentoring to support teaching staff in both an academic and pastoral context.
