The Trade Operations Head is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to manage the daily operations for a larger Cash and Trade Operations unit, consisting of multiple teams performing related tasks. Responsibilities:
Perform leadership role relevant to the build and development of the team supporting end to end Trade Operations lifecycle management.
Create processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of trade operations management.
Partner with each of the originating and coverage business lines, product, credit risk, operations, legal, compliance etc to ensure strategic vision is enabled.
Ensure that quality of data, controls and processes performed meet internal policies and regulatory requirements/expectations, via staff management.
Work with lines of business, transaction management, and loan operations to define and implement operational metrics and risk and control reviews to ensure all stakeholders have end to end transparency.
Constantly improve processes, controls and efficiencies within the group and front to back across loan lifecycle.
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining workflow standards
Lead projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
Leadership role and serve as escalation relevant to trade operations related system testing / migrations.
Oversee daily operations for multiple teams and several unit supervisors and ensure teams meet performance and quality expectations
Manage staff resource allocation while assisting with the development and oversight of the budget
Resolve issues, including complex and highly variable issues with significant departmental impact
Evaluate performance and make recommendations for training/development, pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Trade Reconciliation unit handling entire account reconciliation process for Trade
End to end governance over Vendor.
Managing financials for TTS Trade operations
End to end responsibility for various audits which includes Internal / External Audits, ICRM Compliance assurance, ORM reviews
Managing & overseeing the day2 day affairs from Bank perspective for Core Trade Operations incl. exception approval / deviation approval etc.
Trade Ops SPOC for meeting Regulators as part of Bank Inspections.
Supervisory function over regulatory reporting & managing the regulatory affairs for Trade Operations.
Managing new Product launches / enhancements including Ops sign-off to ensure adherence to Citi Policy & regulations.
Lead various automation initiatives - Project Automation/ implementation of new platforms/System enhancement
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in a related senior level role with experience in trade / cash operations and management
Individual must have excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities, and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up.
Candidate has quantitative skills with a high proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft based programs.
