Job Summary: As a Trade Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing trade finance operations, with a focus on letter of credit (LC) transactions. You will play a pivotal role in facilitating international trade by ensuring the smooth execution of LCs and other trade finance instruments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trade finance, particularly in LC operations, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Job Responsibilities: 1. Manage all aspects of letter of credit transactions, including issuance, amendment, negotiation, and settlement, in accordance with international trade regulations and banking standards. 2. Review and analyse LC documentation to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, as well as regulatory requirements. 3. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including relationship managers, credit officers, and legal counsel, to facilitate timely processing of trade finance transactions. 4. Provide guidance and support to clients regarding trade finance products and services, including LC structures, documentation requirements, and regulatory matters. 5. Conduct thorough risk assessments on trade finance transactions, identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies. 6. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in trade finance, and incorporate them into the organization\'s processes and procedures. 7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline trade finance operations and enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. 9. Assist in the training and development of junior staff members, sharing expertise and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 10. Support senior management in strategic initiatives and special projects related to trade finance and international banking. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor\'s degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification 2. Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in trade finance, with a focus on letter of credit operations. 3. In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, UCP 600, ISP98, and other relevant rules and guidelines. 4. Proven ability to interpret and analyze complex trade finance documentation, with meticulous attention to detail. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels. 6. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 7. Proficiency in trade finance software and systems (e.g., SWIFT, Trade Finance platforms) preferred. 8. Demonstrated commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of work. Job Type: Full-time
